Public Procurement Regulations

New Public Procurement Regulations provide for the blacklisting of persons preventing them from carrying out contracts, existing or future, with public bodies if found to have committed breaches of Maltese employment law such as failure to deposit wages, to provide pay slips and to provide written employment contracts.  The Commercial Sanctions Tribunal is the entity responsible for such decisions and a person may be black listed for a period of up to two years for a first offence.
